Overview
Mexico is a densely populated country with a student population of over 26 million. Education leaders are implementing technology into the school system on a wide scale.

“SMART Board interactive whiteboards have contributed to giving access to technology for the first time to thousands of Mexican children.”

– Flor Hurtado, link director at the Latin American Educational Communication Institute.

Challenge
Teachers want to engage students in the curriculum, but only 7.3 percent of the population had access to technology, so they had to rely on traditional learning methods.

SMART Solution
Implementing SMART Board interactive whiteboards and Enciclomedia software into 200,000 classrooms.

Results
Students now have access to technology and are more engaged in lesson plans, and teachers have adapted their teaching styles to accommodate the use of interactive whiteboards.
