With the recent completion of its technology-enhanced Science Center in early 2006, Longwood is committed to the continuing success of its 4,000 students.

Challenge
Longwood University needed an easy-to-use technology that would encourage spontaneous, interactive lectures and would be accessible for faculty with physical disabilities.

SMART Solution
Longwood University installed 37 Sympodium interactive pen displays in all the classrooms in its new technology-enhanced buildings.

Results
Faculty with a range of physical abilities can quickly and easily incorporate student responses into lecture presentations and save the annotations for future use. Students are more motivated to attend and participate in lectures.
